DESIGN / BUILD

Unifying Design and Construction Disciplines to Better Serve You

For most builders, the construction process begins at the competitive bidding process.  We know, in fact, that construction must be considered during the conceptual stage of any project.

Design/Build is the team approach to a construction project. It marries the design, engineering and construction professional at the conceptual stage of a project, which becomes a single entity. This allows for value engineering, cost control, timely completion, quality control and effective risk management. In a nutshell, it allows for a design process to meet the owner’s available time frame and budget, which puts them in control.

Cornerstone’s Design/Build program will become part of your project development team to create a plan that will identify hidden conditions, establish priorities, objectives and any special restrictions inherent to your project. Our design capabilities are unique. Our in-house design staff, along with independently contracted architectural firms, are utilized to deliver our clients the most comprehensive – yet cost-efficient –approach available in the industry today.

This approach to building projects allows for effective planning and communication and allows the client to maintain a higher level of control, which results in overall reduced costs.
